Our Department's 2024-2025 Academic Year White Coat Ceremony Program

The White Coat Ceremony, which we traditionally organize every year as the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, was held once again this year in a lively atmosphere. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Eseceli, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Tekümit, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Ayşe Güldem Kilciler, and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Çağdaş Aktan, along with our faculty members, administrative staff, students, and their valued family members. In their opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Uğur Günşen, Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Eseceli emphasized the importance of the nutrition and dietetics field within the healthcare system, highlighting the significance for our University of training dietitians who are firmly committed to professional ethical values, sensitive to public health, and keep pace with scientific advancements.

Following the speeches, white coats were presented to our third-year students. The students’ donning of their white coats—symbolizing their commitment to the ethical values of their profession and their assumption of the responsibility to provide healthcare services to the community—was met with great enthusiasm and pride during the ceremony.
