THE IMPORTANCE OF FOUNDING OUR DEPARTMENT IN BANDIRMA

• Bandırma is one of the intersection points of Bursa-İzmir-Çanakkale and is an important port city at a short distance from these cities. Due to the fact that the sea and the mountains are intertwined and the thermal facilities around it, as in Gönen, it has a significant number of summer houses along the coast. An important part of the summer cottage consists of the elderly and partly the sick.

• Also, Bandırma is a culturally diverse town where many populations live together.

• Again, Bandırma is a district that stands out with its industry and agriculture among other features and continues to be an attraction point for migration today.

In this respect, it will provide an advantage in terms of scientific studies and practice-internship in Bandırma districts and towns and the field.

INTERNSHIP AND COOPERATION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AT GRADUATION FROM THE PROGRAM

It is a department that includes practices. They will be able to receive their practice training in any city / district, especially in Bandırma, and in relevant public or private institutions. Businesses where vocational education and practical courses will be held in are the social work environments in the public and private sectors that constitute the employment areas of graduate students.

Our students will receive 16 weeks of compulsory "Professional Training in Business" within the scope of "Practical Trainings" in the 8th semester (7 + 1) at the relevant institutions and organizations. Protocols will be prepared with institutions and organizations and students will be insured. There is no internship requirement for graduation from the program. But our students can do voluntary internships if they wish.

There are also practical courses during the in-class semesters, which will be held in the relevant institutions and organizations.

Domestic departments apply similar curricula. Our Department of Social Work will also focus on specific areas, while remaining loyal to this common curriculum.

Again, taking into account the social, cultural and economic structure of the Turkish society and the conditions of Bandırma, some other specific issues will be included in the program.
