Social Work Group Career Days were Held with Great Enthusiasm and Wide Participation

Within the scope of the "8. Career Days" organized by our university, our Social Work Group hosted its respected guests in the field. The program was held at the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Conference Room on Wednesday, 01 June 2022, at 12:45. After the Turkish National Anthem and a moment of silence, the program started with the opening speeches of our Rector's Advisor and Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Recep YILDIZ, and our  Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Celalettin YANIK.
In the session moderated by Res. Assist. Sultan TEKİNYER, Volunteerism Federation Founding President Erol ÖZTAMUR gave information about albinism based on his own life and touched on the value, importance, and volunteering dimension of the social work profession.
The Founder of the Human Health and Education Foundation Kahraman EROĞLU shared his experiences in the field with case examples, especially in the focus on street children and the scope of the legislation.
Hacettepe University Social Work Department Lecturer Prof. Dr. Kasım KARATAŞ gave information about the birth of social work on the basis of historical milestones, the impact of the experiences on the profession, and the organization, education, and quality of social work in this process.
The program ended with the presentation of a plaque to our esteemed guests who shared their knowledge and experience with us, and to our Health, Culture, and Sports (HCS) Department Head Mehmet KARATAPE for their support.
