International Women's Day Event Received Great Interest
The event, organized by our Department specifically for March 8, International Women's Day, within the scope of our University's Seminar Series at the Turn of the Turkish Century, where women's struggles for social existence in the historical process were discussed, was held with intense participation. Following the moment of silence and the National Anthem, the program started with our Dean Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ESECELİ and our Department Head Prof. Dr. It opened with the speeches of Recep YILDIZ.
Sociologist Dr. Eda KILIÇ's impressive presentation titled "Woman: The Other Name of the Struggle" covered a wide range of topics, starting from the difficulties of being a woman to the roles of historically important Turkish women. The event offered participants the opportunity to understand the difficulties experienced by women and to discover how women's struggle has been shaped throughout history. She raised awareness for social change by emphasizing that women are important figures contributing to social transformation. After the seminar, our program ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation.
