Group Work Practice by Social Work Department Students: TRSM Experts Met with Students at BANÜ Young Office.

Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Social Work Department undergraduate students came together with experts from the field as part of the “Group-Oriented Social Work Practices” course. The group work, which was carried out with the participation of Psychologist & Psychodramatist Murat YATMAZ, Psychologist Nedim ÇİFTÇİ and Expert Social Worker Ercan BAKIR from the Community Mental Health Center (TRSM), provided a valuable experience for our students in terms of developing both their professional and interpersonal communication skills.

The event was hosted by BANÜ Genç Ofis in a warm and supportive environment. The course coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fikri KELEŞOĞLU thanked all the experts who contributed to this meaningful meeting and the Genç Ofis officials who facilitated the process with their support, and emphasized how important field experiences contribute to the students’ learning processes.

The program, enriched with the experience sharing of the participating experts and practical group activities, increased the students’ awareness of the social work profession and allowed them to directly observe the functioning of group work.
