A panel titled “20th Year in Probation: Treatment, Recovery, Cooperation and Alternative Approaches” was held at our university. Organized in collaboration with the Bandırma Probation Directorate, the Balıkesir Provincial Health Directorate, and the Balıkesir branch of Yeşilay (Turkish Green Crescent Society), the panel was moderated by our Head of Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih ALTUN. At the end of the panel, which featured expert academics and practitioners in the field of addiction treatment, our Head of Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih ALTUN, was presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Commander of the 6th Main Jet Base and Garrison, Air Pilot Brigadier General Esat Çetin.

The panel, held in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, was attended by the Commander of the 6th Main Jet Base and Garrison, Air Pilot Brigadier General Esat Çetin, Bandırma Chief Public Prosecutor İsmail Olgun Kurt, Bandırma Justice Commission President Mehmet Kahyaoğlu, and our Rector Prof. Dr. The event was attended by İsmail Boz, Probation Director Özcan Deniz, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel, Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, protocol members, representatives of civil society organizations, members of the press, our academic and administrative staff, and our students.

The program began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem, followed by the opening speech of Probation Director Özcan Deniz. Then, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz and Bandırma Chief Public Prosecutor İsmail Olgun Kurt delivered their welcoming speeches.

The first session of the panel held within the scope of the program was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun. In this session, Fatih İlhan spoke on "Probation Practices in the Fight Against Addiction," and Dr. Öğr. Member Tülay Satı Kırkan shared her knowledge and experience with the participants through her presentation titled “The Brain's Trap: From Curiosity to Slavery”, Adnan Körpınar with “If You Let Go, You Will Succeed”, and Baybars Kaan Yeşilırmak with “Inter-Institutional Coordination in the Fight Against Addiction: The Experience of Probation and YEDAM”.

Following the first session, the speakers were presented with certificates of appreciation by the Commander of the 6th Main Jet Base and Garrison, Air Pilot Brigadier General Esat Çetin, the Chief Public Prosecutor of Bandırma, İsmail Olgun Kurt, the Head of the Bandırma Justice Commission, Mehmet Kahyaoğlu, and our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz.

After a break, the panel continued with the second session. In this session, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu presented on “The Exercise Approach in Substance Addiction”, and Prof. Dr. [Name of second speaker]... Aydın Karaçam presented on “The Place and Importance of Sport in the Fight Against Addiction,” Zeynep Ayyıldız on “Value-Oriented Digital Interventions in Addiction,” and Şükrü Gürlek on “The Contribution of the Spiritual Guidance Unit in the Recovery Journey of Addicted Individuals.”

At the end of the second session, thank-you certificates were presented to the speakers by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel and the Probation Director Özcan Deniz. The panel concluded with an evaluation and closing session, and the program ended with a commemorative photograph.
