A panel discussion titled "Representation and Experiences of Women in Working Life" was organized.

Our department's faculty member and Director of the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Women, Family and Community Services Application and Research Center (BANÜ-KAT), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Aca, organized a panel titled "Representation and Experiences of Women in Working Life" as part of the 8th March International Women's Day celebrations. The event, held in the Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall, was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel, Sibel Boz (wife of Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz), Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Hatice Aydın, academic and administrative staff, and numerous students.

The program began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem, followed by an opening speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Aca, Director of BANÜ-KAT. In her speech, Aca emphasized the importance of strengthening women's representation in society and working life, and their access to equal opportunities.

The panel session was moderated by Dr. Öğr. The panel was moderated by faculty member Gizem Burcu Karaali. Speakers included Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. Tilbe Erten Almak, and Balıkesir Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Emine Böçkün. The speakers shared their experiences regarding the invisible barriers women face in the workforce, their career journeys, and advice for young people; they emphasized the importance of role models and unwavering dedication to empower women in the workforce.

The event concluded with Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel presenting thank-you plaques to the panelists and a commemorative photograph.
