The 4th Southern Marmara Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Student Symposium was Held at Our University

The 4th Southern Marmara Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Student Symposium, hosted by our university and with the participation of Balıkesir University, Bursa Uludağ University, and Yalova University, took place on May 8, 2026, in the Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall and the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Conference Hall. The symposium was honored by the presence of our Vice Rectors, Dear Prof. Dr. Ebru KAYA MUTLU and Dear Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin ERÇAKAR, our Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dear Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ESECELİ, and our General Secretary, Dear Faruk KÜÇÜK.

The program began with an opening ceremony held in the Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall. The Honorary President of the Symposium, Dear Prof. Dr. Defne KAYA UTLU, and the Symposium President and our Vice Rector, Dear Prof. Dr. Ebru KAYA MUTLU, delivered the opening speeches. Following the opening speeches, a musical performance was held, and attendees visited the foyer area where the sponsor stands were located.

The scientific sessions were held simultaneously in two separate halls: the Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall and the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Conference Hall. In the sessions held in the Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall, our university addressed Pediatric Rehabilitation, and Bursa Uludağ University addressed Orthopedic Rehabilitation; while in the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Conference Hall, Balıkesir University addressed Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, and Yalova University addressed the Use of Technology in Neurological Rehabilitation. As part of the program, Yalova University also presented a digital education book developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 Program WELLDONE Project. The symposium concluded after the closing speeches.
