Journey from Plastic Cover to Wheelchair

Within the scope of the “Journey from Plastic Cover to Wheelchair” Social Responsibility Project initiated by our department and the Department of Health Management in partnership with The Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey, plastic covers in any color are collected at designated collection points within our University.
Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to raise awareness about the recycling of plastic covers and to deliver wheelchairs to spinal cord paralyzed people in need by collecting plastic covers. When the covers reach 500 kg, 1 manual wheelchair will be available, and when they reach 4.5 tons, 1 battery powered wheelchair will be available.
We hope that all academic, administrative staff and students of our university will contribute to the Social Responsibility Project. Prof. Derya AZİM, one of the faculty members of our department who is the Coordinator of the Project, the Department of Health Management and our stakeholders, who contributed to the realization of the project.
