Message from Dean
Dear Students;
While our country and the world were going through a period far beyond what we are used to know, with global epidemics, economy and sharing problems, I started my duty as the Dean of Bandırma University Faculty of Health Sciences. I am very happy to be working in one of the youngest universities in our country in this period when undergraduate and graduate education and conceptually education stand-alone have to be redefined. In a world where the value of healthcare and being a healthcare professional has increased so much, taking on this role gives me and my fellow executives both a sense of responsibility and a sense of pride.
Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University was established with the Law No. 6640 published in the Official Gazette dated April 23, 2015 and numbered 29335 with the mission of "Bridge to the Future" and started its academic life with the educational institutions taken over from Balıkesir University, which has a deep-rooted twenty-three-year history. Bandırma School of Health, affiliated to Balıkesir University, was transformed into a faculty with the Law No. 6640 published in the Official Gazette dated April 23, 2015 and numbered 29335, and became the Faculty of Health Sciences by changing its name and connection. In our faculty; there are Departments of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Health Management and Social Work.
Our aim is to train health professionals who can do their profession completely, flawlessly and with conscience in our country and all over the world, and to provide suitable environments for young scientists to develop scientific studies and inventions that contribute to academic production. Our inspiration and style will be determined by the needs of the individual and our nation, as well as by our traditions and the universal rules of science and quality. It will be our most important goal to create an equal, fair and happy working environment for all our academic and administrative staff, and most importantly for our students.
On behalf of all our academic and administrative staff, I wish you a successful education process.
Prof. Dr. Oktay ERAY
