A presentation titled "Patient Safety - Safe Medication Practices" was given.

On December 24, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Yasemin Aslan, a faculty member of our department, gave an online presentation titled “Patient Safety – Safe Medication Practices” to fourth-year nursing students at Istinye University.

The presentation addressed the importance of patient safety in healthcare; common errors in medication administration, their potential consequences for patient health, and strategies for prevention were discussed in detail. Critical elements such as the right patient, the right drug, the right dose, the right time, and the right route of administration were explained with the help of case studies, in line with the fundamental principles of safe medication practice.

Furthermore, the responsibilities of nurses in the medication management process, reporting systems for medication errors, the contribution of multidisciplinary teamwork to patient safety, and ethical and legal aspects to be considered in clinical practice were emphasized. The presentation, which involved active student participation, concluded interactively with a question-and-answer session, contributing to the development of professional awareness and clinical practice skills.
