HISTORY

It was established as Balikesir University Bandırma Health School with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 10.10.1996 and numbered 96/8655. Our school started its education life in 1998 with undergraduate students in the Department of Nursing, and gave its first graduates in 2002.

Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, one of the youngest universities in Turkey, was established with the mission of "Bridge to the Future" with the Law No. 6640 published in the Official Gazette dated April 23, 2015 and numbered 29335. Along with the educational institutions taken over from Balıkesir University, which has a deep-rooted 23-year history, our department continues its academic life within Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.

Bandırma Health School, affiliated to Balıkesir University, was transformed into a faculty with the Law No. 6640 published in the Official Gazette dated April 23, 2015 and numbered 29335, and became the Faculty of Health Sciences by changing its name and connection.
