The program—designed to support students' adaptation to university life, inform them about academic operations, and strengthen their sense of belonging to the department—featured presentations introducing the university, the faculty, and the Nursing Department.

During the program, information was provided regarding the Nursing Department's educational processes, course plans, course selection, examination and grading criteria, attendance requirements, and students' academic responsibilities. Additionally, the department's academic staff and academic advisors were introduced, and information regarding academic advising processes was shared. The orientation program covered the use of the University Information Management System (ÜBYS) and the Course Information Package, Erasmus and international exchange opportunities, the department's accreditation processes, student clubs, social and cultural activities, and the facilities offered by the university. Additionally, information was shared regarding rules to be observed during university life, the smoke-free campus policy, and communication channels.

The program, which included a Q&A session, provided students with the opportunity to meet their academic advisors and discuss topics of interest regarding university life.

**Positive Student Feedback on the Orientation Program**

Following the program, 81 students participated in a feedback survey designed to gather their views and suggestions. The results showed an overall program rating of 4.05 out of 5, with 81% of the responses to the survey items being positive.

Students particularly valued the information provided on university life and social amenities, the introductions to academic staff and advisors, explanations regarding courses, the use of ÜBYS, Erasmus opportunities, and details on accreditation processes.

Based on the student feedback, assessments were conducted to improve future orientation programs.
