An event titled “Medicine, Psychology, and Social Solidarity in the Fight Against Cancer” was held as part of Cancer Awareness Week. Organized within the scope of Cancer Awareness Week (April 1-7), the event took place on April 2, 2026, at the Nazım Hikmet Conference Hall. The event addressed the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the fight against cancer, providing comprehensive assessments of medical, psychological, and social support processes. Expert speakers Dr. Ali Dayi, Dr. Duygu Kesebi İsgandarov, LÖSEV Bursa Public Relations Coordinator Meral Aydın Yıldırım, and Bursa LÖSEV Social Services Staff member Ali Kemal Şahan shared their knowledge and experience with the participants. The presentations emphasized the importance of early diagnosis in cancer treatment, the psychological support processes for patients, and the impact of social solidarity on recovery. The program, which attracted significant interest from participants, concluded after a question-and-answer session.
