Note: This form will be open for applications between 7 and 15 September 2026. It will close to applications at 17:00 on the final day. Applications submitted after the relevant date and time will not be accepted.
Note: The information provided in the application form, such as First Name, Surname, Student Number, Department/Programme and College/Faculty, must be completed in full and accurately. Applications submitted with incomplete or incorrect information will be deemed invalid.
Exam Scope and Assessment Criteria
- Taking the exam is not compulsory; only students who have secured a place at university in the 2026–2027 academic year may sit the relevant exam, provided they have completed the information on the application form in full and on time.
- The examination is marked out of 100 marks.
- Students who achieve 60 marks or above are exempt from the ‘Principles of Atatürk and History of the Turkish Revolution I–II’ courses; the marks they achieve will count in place of the grades for these courses and will be included in their final degree average. Students who score below 60 marks are not exempt and are required to take these courses.
-Exemption procedures are handled by the Student Affairs Office. Students should contact the Student Affairs Office regarding exam results and their exemption status.
-The exam covers all topics from the autumn and spring semesters, including the final period and collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the First World War and its consequences, the Armistice of Mudros and the occupations, the preparatory phase of the National Struggle, the congresses and the opening of the Grand National Assembly, the War of Independence and the battlefronts, the Treaty of Lausanne, and developments following the establishment of the Republic.
