Our university has implemented a "Completely Smoke-Free Campus" policy as of July 1, 2026.

Our university has implemented the "Completely Smoke-Free Campus" initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle culture, support environmental sustainability, and provide a safer living environment for all its stakeholders.

In accordance with Law No. 4207 on the Prevention and Control of the Harms of Tobacco Products, the decision taken at the University Senate meeting dated October 16, 2025, and numbered 2025/14, and the Smoke-Free Campus Implementation Guide prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Council of Higher Education, and the Turkish Green Crescent Society, the "Completely Smoke-Free Campus" initiative was implemented in all our campuses as of July 1, 2026.

Within the scope of this initiative, the use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, hookah, and all products classified as tobacco products is restricted in all open and closed areas of all our campuses.

The aim of the Completely Smoke-Free Campus initiative is to reduce tobacco use, prevent exposure to passive smoke, promote healthy lifestyle habits, and create a healthier campus environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

To ensure the effective implementation of the initiative, necessary information campaigns will be conducted on our campuses; announcements will be shared via our website, social media accounts, and other digital communication channels. Newly enrolled students, newly appointed staff, and visitors will also be informed about the initiative.

In line with its goal of a "Healthy, Clean, and Safe Campus," our university invites all students, staff, and visitors to support the Completely Smoke-Free Campus initiative.
