Meaningful Event on World Disability Day

As the Social Work Department, we organized an unforgettable event for World Disability Day. After the silence and the National Anthem, the "Group Life Folklore and Mehter Band", consisting of special people, won hearts with its enthusiastic stage performance. Murat ARSLANHAN, President of the Federation of the Spastic Disabled of Turkey and Vice President of the Confederation of Disabled People of Turkey, stated the stage reached in employment policies and practices for the disabled with his presentation titled "Disabled Employment" and offered solution suggestions to the points that need to be improved in their current state. The event ended with the presentation of a plaque from Department Head, Assoc. Dr. Recep YILDIZ's to Grup Yorum Folklore and Mehteran Team and our valuable guest Murat ARSLANHAN. This meaningful event made us remember once again the responsibility we have as the Social Work Department, with the vision of supporting the rights and lives of disabled individuals, not just for one day.
