A Meaningful Event from the Social Work Community on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities: Koçum Babam Project

As part of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, our Social Work Group hosted the pioneers of the "Koçum Babam Project", which was broadcasted on TRT Documentary and TRT Avaz and is still being shot. At the event held at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall, Turkish Spastic Handicapped Federation President Murat ARSLANHAN explained the purpose of the Koçum Babam Project, Hasan BOLAT, Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Confederation for the Disabled, explained the promotional activities of the Koçum Babam Project, Yalova New Life Disabled Association President Lale DONDURMACIOĞULLARI shared the view of disabled mothers on the Koçum Babam Project. and father of a disabled person Mustafa BOLAT conveyed the duties and responsibilities of fathers of disabled persons in this process. It was supported by presentations, videos and an exhibition about the Koçum Babam Project, which showed that fathers' involvement in the process yielded positive results.

The event, which reached a large audience with the participation of the families of the disabled persons living in Bandırma as well as the students, was followed with interest by the media.
